Large Juice Cans Needed! We are in need of large juice cans for part of our decorating theme for the next WELCA event in August. Please save them for us and bring them to the church office marked in some way so we know they are for us! We would like to have them by August 1 so that we can make final preparations for the Aug. 26 event. Thanks! Lois, Pat, and Sharon.

CONFIRMATION PLANNING MEETING on Thu. July 22 at 5:30pm we will be meeting to discuss the future of confirmation at Bethlehem. We invite all who have ideas to join us to discuss. We will form a Confirmation Committee out of this meeting but if you attend next Thu. you are not obligated to join the committee. Hope to see lots of you there.

VBS - Son Rock Kids Camp for children ages 3-5
August 2-6 from 5:30-8:15p.m.
Supper will be provided
All 3 - 5 year olds that have not yet attended Kindergarten are invited to come to Vacation Bible school. Come learn more about Jesus, eat some yummy snacks, sing cool songs and make lots of fun crafts! Registration forms can be found in the Church and Parish Education offices. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! High School Students
Any high school students interested in helping with VBS, the first week of August or Teaching Sunday School this coming year please contact Val Johnson.

Luther Crest Bible Camp: July 25-30
For those finishing 2nd-12th grade. Luther Crest offers a number of different camping experiences for all ages. Check out the Luther Crest website at www.luthercrest.org for all the options. Remember the Youth Team, Foundation, and WELCA combine to offer $150 scholarship to every member who attends Luther Crest. Sign up with Luther Crest.

Valley Fair Trip!! August 10
This trip is for students entering 6-12th grade and the cost is $30/person. This includes no meals, but students are free to pack a breakfast and lunch to take along and we will be stopping for fast food before heading home.
The chaperones will have students meet in the picnic area around 1:00 for a check-in and at that time any of us that have packed a lunch can eat together. (Packing a lunch is not mandatory, but certainly is a cheaper route to go!) We will leave bright and early at 7:00 a.m. from the church and will return around 9:00 p.m. Students that bring cell phones will be asked to sign in and list their number in case we need to contact you during the day. Any parents that are interested in chaperoning should contact Beth Monke at dmonke@prtel.com. All students interested in attending should sign up on the kiosk in the narthex or contact the church office.

Arrow Wood Trip!! August 19
Out with the old and in with the new! The 4:5 crew is looking forward to welcoming a new class and saying goodbye to the 6th graders by going to Arrow Wood and splashing it up! This event is for all incoming 4th-6th graders. On Thursday, August 19 we will travel to Arrow Wood, leaving the church at 9:00 a.m. and returning at 3:00 p.m. The cost is $15/person and includes the water park pass and lunch. Please sign up on the kiosk in the narthex or contact the church office if interested. Any parents interested in chaperoning should contact Beth Monke at dmonke@prtel.com.

Small Group Kick Off August 25
For all those entering 6-12 grades. We will be meeting in the youth room with anyone who is interested in joining a small group. We will have pizza, watch a movie and discuss small groups. We will split up those interested into groups of 4-6 and pair each group with an adult. These groups will be a place to bring faith and life questions. If you are at all interested in joining a small group please join us for this discussion. This event is being planned with Hope and Zion. Any questions contact Alex Schwarzhoff 770-6618.

Twins Game September 2, cost $30 per person
For families and those entering 6-12 or younger if accompanied by an adult. Join us for a trip down to Minneapolis to check out the new Twins stadium with the other ELCA churches in town. This is "Home Game for the Homeless" put on by the Twins and a portion of the tickets sales goes to homeless charities in the area. It's a 7:10 PM game against the Detroit Tigers we will be leaving early afternoon and returning late that night. There are still a few tickets left but sign up now as they are going fast. A sign up is up at church. If you have signed up please pay $30 at the church office asap because we have to buy the tickets in advance. Any questions contact Alex Schwarzhoff 770-6618.
